Recipe 1: Banana Protein Bread

This recipe is not only easy peasy boet, but it is also healthy and amazingly tasty!!!

You will need what exactly buddy?

Half a cup of egg whites.
4 to 6 medjool dates
2 ripe banana’s
Half a cup of banana flavored whey protein (or you can use vanilla flavor and then just add an extra banana \ banana flavored essence)
2 tablespoons mixed seeds
1 handful mixed nuts ( 2 oz)
Half a teaspoon Konjac ( the alcohol) or plain vanilla essence.
1 cup reduced fat coconut milk
3-4 tablespoons coconut flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder


Mix all the liquid ingredients together first ( use a mixer for easier and a smoother consistency)

Mash the bananas first then add them to the liquids

Then add the whey, coconut flour and baking powder.

Then only the nuts, seeds and dates.

Mix till smooth and pop into a pre dusted in brown rice flour baking tin. ( or lined with baking paper)

Pop into oven on about 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 40-60 minutes, you will know it’s ready when you can slice your knife into it and it comes out dry.)

Serve with tea/coffee or almond milk as part of your macro diet intake or just as a treat.

To make it less carb dense: use butternut squash instead if banana, but make sure you are using banana flavored whey then!

To give it a slight chocolatey feel, grate a tablespoon of carob.

To make a protein icing: simply mix whey with 2 scoops of cassein, some fat free plain yogurt and fat free milk/soya milk, put as much in as necessary to make a “frosting” like topping.
